Street Photography Workshop with Gary Jimerfield

Some key figures include Henri Cartier Bresson, Eugene Atget and Walker Evans among many . Take some time to view their work .

Began in the 1840s . Many Photographers practice candid portraits and scenes of Urban life .

Gary Jimerfield belongs to the New Vision that began in the 1920s in the aftermath of WW l and Modernism from the 1950s . These Movements explore converging and intersecting lines. The unintentional juxtaposing of various forms of Architecture and the Artistic side of everyday functioning objects . Also stressing texture, shadow and tonal range .

Always look up and down , go around behind things.

Look for things of strong visual interest.

A helpful site is the B sides of Architecture.

The first half of the class we will walk around the area and everyone can shoot.

The second half will be a critique.
