Drawing I: Ages 14-18 (limited to 6 students)
Course Overview
This course is designed to help participants get comfortable with drawing, which serves as the foundation for other art forms. Through a series of exercises and projects, students will develop their skills in fast sketching, contour drawing, and observational drawing from still life and human figures. The main focus is to enjoy the process and train the eye to register different forms and shapes with ease and sensitivity.
The course is divided into three main sections:
1. Introduction to Fast Sketching
2. Contour Drawing
3. Drawing from Observation
Course Objectives
• Develop fundamental drawing skills.
• Enhance observational abilities.
• Gain confidence in fast sketching techniques.
• Understand and practice contour drawing.
• Appreciate and enjoy the creative process of drawing.

$ 200 ( plus $25 paid to instructor for materials)

Sarah studied fine arts at the renowned art school in Paris, France (École Supérieure Des Beaux Arts - Paris, France), and Graphic Design at University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). She’s an accomplished artist, educator and curator.
