Introduction To Monoprint

  • Washington Printmakers Gallery 1675 Wisconsin Avenue Northwest Washington, DC, 20007 United States (map)

Description: A monoprint is a form of printmaking in which an image is made from a smooth surface such as glass or plexiglass, coated in printing ink/acrylic. In contrast with other printing techniques, only one final image is made, making the technique closer to drawing or painting than other print processes.

Inspired by abstract expressionists such as Mark Rothko, participants will explore creating prints with absolute freedom to enjoy the process.
