Drawing II: Ages 14-18 (limited to 6 students)

October 22 to December 3, 2024

Tuesdays from 4:30 to 6:30 P.M.

Course Overview

In this advanced course, students will build on the skills developed in Drawing I. They will continue with quick sketches and contour drawings from still life and live figures while exploring new approaches such as landscape drawings, drawing from memory, and the use of color. The goal is to broaden their artistic techniques and enhance their creative expression.

Course Objectives

• Refine quick sketching and contour drawing skills.

• Develop techniques for landscape drawing.

• Practice drawing from memory.

• Introduce the use of color in drawings.

• Encourage personal artistic style and expression.

(no class on Thanksgiving week)

($25 paid to instructor for materials)

At the end of the course there will be an exhibition of students’ work at the Georgetown Book Hill Library.

About Sarah S. Bazmehri

Sarah studied fine arts at the renowned art school in Paris, France (École Supérieure Des Beaux Arts - Paris, France), and Graphic Design at University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). She’s an accomplished artist, educator and curato
