Visitors to art exhibitions usually see a collection of works shaped by one person's vision. The choice of works and how they are displayed is decided by a curator, juror, or solo artist. In March, Washington Printmakers Gallery is offering visitors a chance to see differing visions in one exhibit with an entire gallery of "mini-solos" presented by eight different artists.

Because the show will feature a number of works by each artist, it gives viewers more of a chance to compare and contrast the different artists' work than a typical group show where viewers see the work of many artists but only one/two pieces by each artist. The vision shaping each group of pieces is that of the artist who made and groups those pieces, which gives viewers a different experience than most group exhibitions.

Works in the show are as varied as the artists and their ways of interpreting their world, and present a striking breadth of technology as well as visual vocabulary. Some of the printmakers use tools and methods that are hundreds of years old, while others print using modern tools and materials. Some artists use digital photography and printing techniques only recently available; while one artist creates digital images entirely on a computer.

Artists in this exhibit are: Marie De Amicis, Robert Hunter, Nina Muys, Caroline Pomponio, Marta Sanchez, Deborah Schindler, Helga Thomson, and Sandra Chen Weinstein.
