ReEntry At WPG – Online And In Person

We are slowly “reentering” regular gallery operations complying with Covid safety guidelines, as well as “entering” a new phase of online operations. This Blog entry gives you first one gallery artist’s take on our current in-gallery show and a link to a slideshow version of the show. Scroll down further to see news of the gallery’s “off line” activities.

Rosemary Cooley Writes About ReEntry:

Aristotle claimed that there isn’t anything in the intellect that wasn’t first found in the senses. In our new exhibition, ReEntry, Washington Printmakers artists have tried to process what we are feeling about the Pandemic. Some of us have used a new art method to reflect what is in our senses. Others have found inspiration in considering things immovable and lasting: the cosmos, the sea, forests and nature. Some looked for quiet, while others created images of chaos. We invite you to observe our portrayal of an uncertain time and one which will eventually find its balance and bring us to normality.

For the time being, our “open days” are limited to the second weekend of each month, but we invite you to contact us to schedule an appointment, at other times. Below are photos from September 12 and 13, 2020, when artists Nina Muys and Deborah Schindler demonstrated printmaking techniques to passersby. Weather permitting, we’ll be out front of the gallery sharing the joy of printmaking on October 10 and 11, 2020. We hope to see you there!
