Bob Hunter - June 2020- When Cinema is again an Option

I have been mostly "House Bound" for the last 100 days, and because I'm a person in the Covid-19 high risk group. I have taken my "quarantine" very seriously, but the novelty has worn off and it is starting to get old. As an artist this time has been very productive and it has inspired me to examine some things that I simply took for granted 6 months ago. Consequently I have created some prints that reflect my sense of loss and longing. The following text and image are one such reflection.

Lament

I'm tired of staying at home. I miss the cool caress of a darkened movie theater where I can enjoy a Historical Drama, a Romantic Comedy, an Action Thriller or a Sci Fi Saga. Each projected on a Big Screen as I eat salted hot buttered popcorn that someone else has made.
