Sandra Chen Weinstein was born in Taiwan and studied ceramics in Kyushu Design College Japan, Corcoran School of Art and George Washington University. She has worked for the U.S. State Dept. and lived in Washington D.C., Taipei Taiwan, Fukuoka Japan, Beijing China, Alberta Canada. Currently she is living in Southern California since 1997 after returning from overseas.
In 2007 Sandra started using photography as her medium of art. Sandra has exhibited widely in national and international shows and received numerous distinguished awards including 1st prized Portraits Prize award in KLPA photo award, National Geographic International Contest in People, and International Conservation Award in Culture, among others. Her works are also featured on the cover and special editions of European magazines published in Germany, Portfolio Edition of 16 pages in French Culture Magazine published in Paris and National Geographic Readers Collection, DC. Her works are included in private, non-profit, and institutional collections in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Sandra is affiliated with numerous national photographic organizations.
