The Washington Print Foundation’s strong series of programs are designed to educate the public on the beauty, value, historical and artistic importance of printmaking. Through exhibitions, demonstrations, workshops, lectures and community events, the Foundation seeks to retain and underscore the importance of keeping the traditional arts alive even as the citadels of education turn toward digital art and computer reproductions. Our outreach programs are designed for a Washington DC metro area audience, and reach a national and international print community through exchange exhibits, juried shows, and artist-in-residencies. WPF also partners with arts organizations to assist in raising funds for print-related events by acting as a fiscal sponsor.

Washington Print Foundation membership is an opportunity to join a community of artists, collectors and art appreciators in promoting the original print. Annual dues are $50 and offer you access to WPG exhibtion preview events and special lectures.

To become a member, simply send $50 to the Washington Print Foundation, 8230 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland 20910.

Foundation Funders allow our outreach programs to reach new audiences. Funders also make it possible to expand our efforts: Washington Print Foundation would like to fund artist residencies and special projects; sponsor traveling flatfile exhibitions and print symposiums; and develop educational workshops for schools.

To become a funder, send a check in any amount to the Washington Print Foundation, 8230 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland 20910.
