Monoprint

Making a monoprint A monoprint is made by taking a permanently worked plate, such as an etched plate, and manipulating ink on the surface of the plate in a way that can’t be repeated.

A one-off print, or monoprint, will look different than a normal impression made from the permanently worked plate and will also look different than another monoprint made using the same permanent plate.
