Amnesty International Human Rights Art Festival

Washington Printmakers Gallery will be submitting its space to the first ever Amnesty International Human Rights Art Festival. Works by Washington Printmakers Artists can be seen at Art Spring this month, located at 8519 Georgia Avenue, just two blocks North of the Pyramid Atlantic Art Center. Comprised of 250 artists from 40 nations, the Amnesty International Human Rights Art Festival will take place in 40 venues throughout the Arts and Entertainment District in downtown Silver Spring, including our space at Pyramid Atlantic. All of the art concerns human rights and social transformation issues. Included through-out the festival are a film festival, theater festival, dance festival, music festival, indoor and outdoor art installations, dozens of workshops, book readings, art exhibits, performance art and other activities, plus 10 advocacy groups running “Festivals within the Festival.” For more information visit their website.
